We’ve been building high-performance bike frames since 1981. Each is meticulously fashioned out of premium US-made titanium tubing, allowing us to design every bike to the specific needs of the frame style and individual rider. Our purposeful design philosophy, our knowledge of the unique characteristics of titanium, and our relentless focus on craftsmanship come together in the creation of true lifetime bikes—whether your preference is asphalt, dirt or both.
Each tube miter and each weld, in every single frame we build, is done by hand. Checked by hand. Finished by hand. Polished by hand. Only then do we apply our head badge. By hand, of course.
THE MOOTS DIFFERENCE
1. DKG seat collar The best money can buy, it gives a solid, consistent clamp force for uncompromised performance.
2. Titanium tubing US-made seamless cold-worked stressed relieved (cwsr) 3/2.5 titanium tubing. The thinnest wall material with no compromise to strength.
3. Double-pass welds Ensures deep penetration between the two joined tubes, leading to stronger joints and finer welds. The only real way to weld ti.
4. Real-deal head badge Cast and hand-painted, Mr. Moots leads the charge, with road or mountain styling. Drilled, tapped and screwed into place. No decals here.
5. Precision alignment Using precise miters and specific weld sequences and techniques our frames need little final adjustment. Alignments are maintained to the highest industry standards.
6. Machined titanium welded fittings Ensure a no hassle frame for many years to come. A step in the process we could cheapen, but choose not to.
7. Breezer-style dropouts Provide the lightest, stiffest connection between dropout and chain stay to keep driveline solid, stiff, light and responsive.
8. Refined geometry Size & model specific angles, tube sets and dimensions; even the chain stays vary by size.
9. Frame preparation Moots frames are faced, chased, deburred & prepared for assembly with the mechanic in mind.
10. Satin bead blast finish Smooth, consistent, durable and signature Moots.
